Civil Infrastructure Projects

What is Civil Infrastructure?

Infrastructure is defined as, the basic physical and organizational structures and facilities (e.g., buildings, roads, and power supplies) needed for the operation of a society or enterprise. Civil Engineers across the nation work hard to improve the deteriorating infrastructure of the nation’s highways, bridges, and water and energy distribution systems.

Why is it important to maintain civil infrastructure?

All basic human needs are fulfilled by a proper functioning infrastructure. Food is transported over highways and bridges. Public water is supplied through reservoirs which utilize underground piping systems to deliver water to the filtration and treatment facilities and then to the public. Power is supplied through complex systems designed by civil engineers. Telephone lines, cable lines, cell towers, are all intricate systems that rely on proper infrastructure design. Municipal sewer facilities, dams, pump stations, the list goes on. Jason Dismukes, LLC has worked with municipalities to design sewer facilities, water facilities, dams and bridges to improve and maintain infrastructure to support the daily activities of their residents.
